Hi, I’m Seimy (She/Her/Hers).
I have worked in the Mental Health field since 2014 as a case manager, research assistant, counseling intern, and mental health counselor.
I have a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University, Seattle.
My undergraduate studies were at the University of Washington in Seattle with a Major in Psychology and a minor in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies.
About Me & My Therapeutic Style
Welcome — I’m Seimy, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State.
I specialize in supporting teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship challenges, career concerns, and self-esteem issues. I’m bilingual and offer sessions in both English and Spanish.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, strength-based, somatic (addressing physical symptoms), and holistic. I aim to create a warm, safe, and authentic space where you can be fully yourself — and yes, I like to bring a little humor into the mix too. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and therapy is a space for self-exploration, growth, and tapping into your resilience.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help explore unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to teach practical skills for managing emotions, navigating tough situations, and improving relationships. I also value the power of simple, supportive talk therapy — sometimes, just being heard is where the healing begins.
I truly believe the therapeutic relationship is key. When we feel safe, seen, and heard, we’re better able to heal and grow. As humans, we’re all beautifully imperfect — and both our strengths and our struggles are part of what shape us.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to connect. Reach out to schedule a free consultation — let’s see if we’re the right fit.
